This Privacy Policy explains how ThoughtBubbles collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and app.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: Your email address, used only for magic-link authentication and waitlist communication.
• Thoughts and content: The text you enter into your bubbles, plus metadata such as sort order, pinned state, archive state, and board names.
• Preferences: Theme, colour mode, and board settings stored locally and synced when signed in.
• Waitlist information: Email, selected plan, region, and displayed price if you join the Pro waitlist.
• Technical data: Basic browser/device data needed to operate the service, such as session tokens and PWA install state.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, sync, and secure your thought boards.
• To authenticate you via magic-link email.
• To contact waitlist members about Pro availability.
• To improve the app and diagnose issues.

3. Data storage and third parties

We use Supabase for authentication, database storage, and hosting. Waitlist confirmation emails are sent via Resend through a Netlify Function. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

4. Local storage and cookies

ThoughtBubbles stores your thoughts and preferences in your browser's local storage so the app works offline. When you sign in, your data is synced to Supabase. We do not use tracking cookies.

5. Your choices

• You can delete your thoughts or clear your board at any time.
• You can sign out from the account menu.
• You can uninstall the PWA from your device's app settings.

6. Children's privacy

ThoughtBubbles is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Significant changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
